This study examined how organizational communication relationships are a function of work locus of control. One hundred and ninety‐five (N = 195) employees from various organizations completed the Work Locus of Control Scale and Organizational Communication Relationships Scale. Results indicated that people who report an internal control orientation also reported higher levels of relational satisfaction with coworkers, top management, and perceived influence. Externals report significantly lower levels of relational satisfaction with supervisors than internals. The findings provide further evidence into organizational communication differences as a function of work‐specific control expectancies.
