Strategic Planning for the 21st Century

Abstract

As the world moves into the 21st century, a fresh look is warranted at the major forces in the environment that affect the delivery of learning. Environmental forces fluctuations in demographics, globalization of markets, shifts in the economy, and advancing technology. This article examines today's dynamic environments through a relatively new methodology called scenario planning, which is used to depict learning environments and to develop learning delivery strategies. A framework is used to facilitate strategy development to transform the learning enterprise.
