Frederick P. Hitz

Frederick P. Hitz, a retired career intelligence official, served as the Central Intelligence Agency's first presidentially appointed Inspector General from 1990–1998. The author of The Great Game: The Myth and Reality of Espionage (New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 2004), he lectured at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School from 1998–2004, and in the Politics Department and the Law School at the University of Virginia in 2004–2005, before returning to Princeton in the fall of 2005.
