Dr. John M. Nomikos, Director of the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS) in Athens, Greece, is a specialist on transatlantic intelligence studies, intelligence reform, and national security architecture. He has done research and studied in the United States of America, United Kingdom, Norway, Finland, Germany, and Israel.

Aya Burweila

Aya Burweila is a Junior Analyst at the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS). Born in Benghazi, Libya, she holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of La Verne and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Indianapolis. In addition to her focus on the international and regional security implications embodied by the alliance of the Algerian GSPC with al-Qaeda, she also concentrates on energy security.
