Paul Maddrell

Dr. Paul Maddrell has been a Lecturer in International Politics at the University of Aberystwyth, Great Britain, since 2002. Prior to that, he was a Lecturer in the History of International Relations at the University of Salford, in Manchester. Holding a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, his main research interests are the history of Communism, twentieth-century German and Soviet history, and the history of intelligence and security. Dr. Maddrell has written extensively on both intelligence history and German history, and is the author of Spying on Science: Western Intelligence in Divided Germany, 1945–1961 (Oxford, UK: Oxford University Press, 2006).
