CALL FOR PAPERS

23rd Annual Western Hemispheric Trade Conference

April 3–5, 2019

Laredo, Texas, USA

You are cordially invited to submit papers for presentation at this conference, which brings together academic researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to discuss an array of topics affecting the western hemisphere in today’s global business world. A select number of highly qualified papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of The International Trade Journal as either full papers or as short summary notes.

The conference is sponsored by Texas A&M International University, the A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business, and the Center for the Study of Western Hemispheric Trade. The 2018 conference will take place on the campus of Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas, USA. The format for the conference includes receptions, luncheons, keynote addresses, panel discussions, and academic sessions. Normally, the conference attracts 125-150 attendees, including academics, policy analysts, CEOs, and leaders from the Americas, as well as Europe and Asia.

Papers can be submitted as full-length manuscripts, short summary notes, or abstracts. Only full-length papers and summary notes will be considered for inclusion in the special issue of The International Trade Journal. Summary notes should be between ten and sixteen double-spaced pages using standard margins, a 12 point font, and including all references, tables, and graphs. Abstracts should be between 100 and 500 words.

Papers are invited on any topic related to global business including, but not limited to:

  • Management

  • Marketing

  • Trade and Development
