Abstract
Outsourcing and reengineering are the buzzwords for the 90s. Outsourcing is the practice of seeking outside professional services to meet in-house needs, while reengineering is the business-related process of change in general. Both concepts can be implemented to gain strategic organizational advantages. However, organizations tend to implement these concepts separately when striving to improve their organizational productivity. This paper will first discuss the concepts of reengineering and outsourcing individually and then look at them together to show that both techniques can be implemented successfully in a synergic way.
