Abstract
Object oriented systems are being developed at an accelerating rate. As a result, structured analysts are faced with the challenge of embracing this latest approach to systems development. This paper is intended to assist the structured analyst in making this transition by reviewing object oriented concepts. The various stages of object oriented analysis as defined by Peter Coad and Edward Yourdan are also reviewed. Parallels between traditional structured techniques and object oriented analysis are also pointed out. A concluding discussion speculates where and when object oriented analysis works best.
