Developing Computer Aided Instruction Systems for Microcomputers

Abstract

A brief discussion of microcomputer systems/networks and some economic considerations for their use in education is given. The evolutionary path of CAI is traced and the lessons learned from the experiences of small businesses are noted. The components of a CAI system are identified and some suggestions are made as to what a good CAI system should contain. A checklist for those intending to introduce CAI is provided.
