Is Logo Portable? An Australian Experience

Pages 195-202 | Published online: 05 Mar 2014

Abstract

This chapter discusses the proposition that Logo has proved to be transportable across societal, language, pedagogical, and subject boundaries. It uses the Australian experience to tease out the reasons for this portability, thus providing considerations for software developers who wish their materials to exhibit a similar robust portability. The article also discusses Australian-developed Logo support materials (printed, video, and tool kit procedures) that are seen as enhancing Logo’s utility and portability.
