Mark Rifkin is Director of the Women's and Gender Studies Program and Professor of English at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is the author of five books, including Beyond Settler Time: Temporal Sovereignty and Indigenous Self-Determination (Duke UP, 2017). He has been on the editorial boards for American Literature and J19 and has served as president of the Native American and Indigenous Studies Association.
