Edmundo Paz Soldán

Edmundo Paz Soldán (Cochabamba, Bolivia, 1967) is a professor of Latin American literature at Cornell University. He is the author of ten novels (Río Fugitivo, 1998; La materia del deseo, 2001; Norte, 2011), as well as short story collections (Amores imperfectos, 1998; Billie Ruth, 2012). His most recent book is Iris (2014).

Jessica Powell has translated numerous Latin American authors, most recently Antonio Benítez Rojo's novel Woman in Battle Dress (2015).
