Alfred Mac Adam
Alfred Mac Adam has been a professor of Latin American literature at Barnard College-Columbia University since 1983. From 1984 until 2004, he edited Review. Mac Adam has translated novels by Carlos Fuentes, Mario Vargas Llosa, José Donoso, Alejo Carpentier, Reinaldo Arenas, Julio Cortázar, Juan Carlos Onetti, Osvaldo Soriano, Alfredo Bryce Echenique, and Jorge Volpi. He has also translated a selection of Fernando Pessoa’s Book of Disquiet.
