Óscar Hahn

Óscar Hahn (Chile, 1938) is a poet who taught for more than thirty years at the University of Iowa. Among other honors, he was awarded the Premio Nacional de Literatura in 2012. His books include: Arte de morir (1977; The Art of Dying, 1988), En un abrir y cerrar de ojos (2006; Ashes in Love, 2009), and Los espejos comunicantes (Madrid: Visor, 2015; The Communicating Mirrors), from which the following poems are taken.
