Christopher Isherwood

Christopher Isherwood (1904-1986), the British novelist and screenwriter, emigrated to Los Angeles in the late 1930s after travels through Europe and, with W. H. Auden, to China to write about the Sino-Japanese war. His best-known books are The Berlin Stories (1945), Prater Violet (1945), A Single Man (1964), and Christopher and His Kind (1976).
