Alonso Cueto
Alonso Cueto is an award-winning Peruvian writer whose work has been translated into twenty languages. His books include the novels La hora azul (2005; The Blue Hour, 2012) and La Viajera del viento (2014; The Wind Traveller, 2020). Another novel, Grandes miradas (2003: Long Gazes), was made into the film Mariposa negra (2006; Black Butterfly), directed by Francisco Lombardi.
Christopher Winks is Chair of the Department of Comparative Literature at Queens College, CUNY. He is the author of Symbolic Cities in Caribbean Literature (2009). Labyrinth, his translated anthology of texts by Cuban poet Lorenzo García Vega, is forthcoming from Junction Press.
