Esther Allen
Esther Allen is a professor at City University of New York, where she teaches in the Ph.D. programs in French and in Latin American, Iberian, and Latino Cultures (LAILAC) at the Graduate Center, and directs the Sidney Harman Writer-in-Residence Program at Baruch College. Her most recent translation, Antonio Di Benedetto's 1956 novel Zama, won the National Translation Award in 2017. She is currently at work on a biography of José Martí.
