Patrícia Aniceto

Patrícia Aniceto is a poet from Santos Dumont (Minas Gerais, Brazil). Her poetry has appeared in several anthologies, including Cadernos negros. Her book Corpos em movimento (2019; Bodies in Movement) deals with topics such as the struggle of being a woman in contemporary society, resistance, environmental tragedy, racial discrimination, and the act of writing. Aniceto is completing a doctorate in literature at the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF) and is part of the Grupo de Pesquisa Travessias e Feminismo(s): Estudos Identitários na Autoria Feminina (Crossings and Feminism(s) Research Group: Identity Studies in Women Writers). Her doctoral research focuses on the poetry of Afro-Brazilian writers Conceição Evaristo and Elisa Lucinda.
