ABSTRACT

The oldest confirmed fossil of Bocchinae is described from Eocene Baltic amber. Bocchus primaevus sp. nov., described and illustrated from a single female specimen, represents the first record of the subfamily in Baltic amber and the tenth genus of Dryinidae known from this fossil deposit. The position of the new fossil species within Bocchinae is discussed.
