Effect of marine bioattachment on carbonation of sea artificial island concrete

ABSTRACT

The carbonation characteristics of marine biological attachment on concrete of offshore artificial islands were studied. The finite element analysis method is adopted to build a finite element analysis model for the carbonation characteristics of the marine organism attachment to the marine artificial island concrete under different temperature environments. By the analysis of the plastic displacement of the carbonation characteristics of the marine artificial island concrete caused by the lateral displacement before yielding and the marine organism attachment. The hysteretic curves of the carbonation characteristics of the marine organism adhesion to the concrete of the offshore artificial island at 0 degrees, 10 degrees, 20 degrees and 30 degrees and the degradation curves of the carbonation characteristics of the marine organism adhesion to the concrete of the offshore artificial island are compared respectively. The test results show that the marine organism adhesion at different temperatures shows different characteristics to the carbonation characteristics of the concrete of the offshore artificial island. The degradation curve of the carbonation characteristics of the marine artificial island concrete due to the attachment of marine organisms is stable, the curve will eventually stabilise at the corresponding degradation value in the descending process, indicating the stable point of performance.
