Marina characteristics and wet slip pricing: An application to policy

Pages 355-363 | Published online: 30 Sep 2008

Abstract

A hedonic pricing model is used to estimate the implicit prices of amenities, location, accessibility, and structure on wet slip prices for Florida's coastal marinas. Characteristics that are important to the determination of wet slip prices include age, draft, total slips, availability of telephone, and location in the Palm Beach or South Florida regions. The model is used to illustrate how state submerged land fees can be calculated in an equitable manner.
