Abstract
In this article the author explores the development of PD relationships through her own experience with a focus on school-university partnerships. Advocating for these professional relationships opens the door for sustainable collaboration, quality continuing education and mutual respect.

The purpose of the Strategies column “Advocacy in Action” is to provide tangible, real-world examples of grassroots and national-level advocacy activities taking place in the fields of physical education, health education and physical activity.
