Staging Citizenship for the Child Audience: Pedagogical Imperatives in the Early Years of Chile's Teatro Infantil

Abstract

This investigation traces the development of an independent movement of theatre for young audiences in Chile. Of primary interest is the pedagogy of nation building, especially with regard to the social and aesthetic values attributed to the “good citizen.”
