Robert G. Cooper is president of the Product Development Institute, ISBM Distinguished Research Fellow at Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business Administration, and a Crawford Fellow of the Product Development and Management Association. A thought leader in the field of product innovation management and developer of the Stage-Gate new product development system, he has won two IRI Maurice Holland awards and has published seven books and more than 120 articles. He received his PhD in business administration and MBA from the University of Western Ontario and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in chemical engineering from McGill University.[email protected]
