Abstract
New affinity supports suitable for semi-continous baro-immunodesorption processes were developed. Home made rabbit polyclonal antibodies grafted onto various carriers were used to purify E. coli β-galactosidase from bacterial crude extracts. The high pressure desorption method was compared with current elution techniques (ie., high pH method and competition elution procedure). The properties and the efficiency of the different supports in the development of a semi-continous elution process are discussed.
