High-pressure hot stage for optical microscopy: In sztu observation of crystal growth under hydrostatic pressure

Abstract

High-pressure hot stage of optical microscope was developed for in situ observation of morphology of pressure-induced crystal modification of organic materials. The hot stage was successfully operated to observe the spherulitic growth of an organic material in a temperature region between room temperature and ca. 250°C under hydrostatic pressure up to 100 MPa.
