Abstract

The experimental study of processes of silica and alumina transfer at simultaneous dissolution and growth of quartz and topaz in supexcritical aqueous fluids under conditions of direct thennogradient was performed. It was shown that the zones of dissolution and crystal growth of quartz and topaz can either coincide or be spatially separated. The observed phenomena are. explained by a change of sign of temperature coefficient of quartz solubility, as well as by the retrograde character of topaz solubility of the studied fluids.
