Abstract
A two-slits collimator designed for inelastic X-ray scattering (IXS) experiments using the Paris–Edinburgh large volume press is presented here. This collimator allows for in situ collection of IXS data of liquid or crystalline samples simultaneously at high pressure and temperature. A complete rejection of the parasitic signal coming from the complex sample environment, needed in these experiments, has been achieved. IXS spectra of amorphous and liquid phosphorus under high pressure and temperature are presented to illustrate the potential of this device.
