Abstract
The influence of actual structure of single crystal and polycrystalline diamonds of different origin on the behavior and location of nain band of Raman scattering (RS) in diamond is studied. In the case of polycrystalline diamonds having a great number of bulk and surface defects, as detep mined by EPR method, the widening 2nd the shift of the main HS band (1332 cm−1) to the low-frequency region are revealed. The observed RS frequency shift is of the same order as in heating diamond up to 400–500 deg;C.
