Abstract
The kinetics of pressure-induced nucleation and growth processes is investigated in the diamond anvil cell (DAC). The microstructure kinetics is analized by image processing. Kinetic parameters like nucleation rate and cluster distribution are in situ measured. Because of gasket relaxation and volume jump the pressure inside the gasket hole is changing during the transformation. The kinetics of such a process is nunierical described by a modified AVRAMI-equation. Numerical simulations show a modification of the cluster structure due to different growth.
