Welcome to the first issue of Journal of International Consumer Marketing for the year 2018! This is a very special year for the Journal as it is our 30th year of publication. When a journal hits a milestone of this type, it is time to reflect and consider how the academic field to which we contribute has evolved. Consumer research, and international marketing research, are the two disciplines we draw from and try to integrate in the pages of JICM. Both are well-established research disciplines, yet both continue to expand in extraordinary ways, and both continue to challenge us as researchers. On the consumer research side, the science continues to emerge and develop, with some particularly interesting applications of neurosciences in understanding consumer responses to marketing stimuli. International marketing has always been challenging, as it keeps pace with our ever-changing global landscape. We have seen much upheaval in recent years in global business, and the full impact of events such as Brexit on the practice global marketing and management remains to be seen. It is my hope that JICM will maintain its position as a guide for academic researchers working in these vibrant disciplines.

This issue presents five of the best new international consumer research submissions of recent months. If you are doing research involving international, cross-national or cross-cultural marketing, I encourage you to send your very best research papers to JICM! As always, we are open to both B2B and B2C topics. For further guidance, please consult the journal's Taylor & Francis website, at: http://www.tandfonline.com/toc/wicm20/19/3. All submissions are handled through Manuscript Central and should be sent directly to the Manuscript Central page, which is: mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jicm.

As always, I send out my sincerest thanks to my reviewers, who have consistently provided me with excellent comments on all papers, and have helped me immensely. I am hoping to attract some new ad hoc reviewers to the editorial team. If you enjoy reading JICM and would like to get some reviewing experience, send me a quick e-mail. Let me know what your research interests are, and I will do my best to match these to the papers I send you.

Enjoy the current issue, and consider sending your best international consumer research papers to JICM!
