Joseph Sarkis

Joseph Sarkis is an assistant professor in the Department of Information Systems and Management Sciences at The University of Texas at Arlington. He received his Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. His teaching interests are primarily in the area of Production and Operations Management. His research interests include enterprise integration, strategic manufacturing management, and justification of advanced manufacturing technology. Dr. Sarkis has been published in a number of academic journals and conference proceedings. He is a certified production and inventory manager (CPIM) and is a member of The Institute of Management Sciences (TIMS), the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), and the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).

Michael Reimann

About the Authors: Michael Reimann has a Ph.D. in management science at The University of Texas at Arlington. He holds a B.S. in computer science from California Polytechnic State University, an M.S. in computer science from Southern Methodist University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Dallas. Dr. Reimann specializes in the research and development of methodologies for quantifying and systematically addressing complex business issues. He has conducted numerous projects involving the joint participation of commercial companies, industry consortiums, and the military during that past 20 years. He is a certified systems professional (CSP) and a certified management consultant (CMC).
