Abstract

In this paper, we present an improved wave concept iterative process (WCIP) algorithm for the analysis of anisotropic graphene. Then, we use it to investigate a novel type of terahertz microstrip circulator based on graphene. In this algorithm, we propose a new technique for modeling of magnetized graphene layers, which consists of redefining the boundary conditions of graphene in terms of waves and integrating the surface conductivity without involving volumetric discretization. Numerical examples are presented to verify the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. The numerical simulations demonstrate that the performances of the circulator can be adjusted by applying an electric or magnetic field bias.
