Dear Readers,

Welcome to the first edition of Ocular Immunology and Inflammation, Volume 32 of the year 2024.

More than 700 manuscripts were submitted to the journal in 2023 and 338 manuscripts have been processed for publication. Volume 31 of OII in 2023 included an increased number of issues; and three of 10 issues were dedicated to special topics. COVID-19-related articles were published in the 6th issue, infectious uveitis articles including invited reviews of the previous year were published in the 7th, and the pediatric uveitis articles including all invited reviews of the disease of the year 2023 were published in the 10th issue. We would like to again thank all contributors, reviewing editors, and reviewers for their valuable support to this journal. Our special thanks to Emmett T. Cunningham for contributing more than 50 editorials since 2014.

In keeping with our tradition of “Disease of the Year” reviews, we have planned to focus on “Intermediate Uveitis” as disease of the year in 2024. Epidemiologic, clinical, and imaging features, as well as differential diagnosis and treatment of intermediate uveitis will be reviewed by outstanding experts in our field.

We encourage you to continue submitting your best work to OII, joining in our efforts to improve and spread knowledge on ocular immunology and inflammation.

We thank you for your support and wish you all a happy, productive and successful New Year!
