Abstract
In this paper we want to explain our point of view on the design of an Object‐oriented computer aided compositional system.
Our approach is based both on design and compositional considerations as well as on the analysis of the most significant studies in this field. Then, in order to clarify such concepts, we will illustrate the most significant aspects of a system, called S.C.O.O.P. (Synthesis and Composition with Object Oriented Programming), that we are developing at C.S.C. of Padua University.
