On exotic birds imported into Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Abstract

After the successful establishment of free–living populations of Rose–ringed Parakeets (Psittacula krameri) and Common Mynas (Acridotheres tristis) in Jeddah, an overview of all exotic birds imported into Jeddah in the first three months of 1990 is given.

Kurzfassung

Im Hinblick darauf, daß in Jiddah freilebende Populationen von Halsbandsittichen (Psittacula krameri) und Hirtenmainas (Acridotheres tristis) bestehen, wird eine Übersicht der in den ersten drei Monaten des Jahres 1990 nach Jiddah importierten Vögel gegeben.
