Abstract

A novel Fuchsin Basic-sensitised photopolymer was prepared and studied as a holographic recording material using He–Cd and Nd:YAG lasers. The results indicate that the material shows attractive recording characteristics, which include diffraction efficiency, sensitivity, refractive index modulation, volume shrinkage, etc. Various photochemistry parameters were obtained by using Levenberg–Marquardt's algorithms to fit the photobleaching model. The storage life of photopolymer film was studied, and holograms were successfully recorded and reconstructed in high fidelity and contrast.
