Abstract

The problem of points matching in colour stereo images is investigated. The correlation method is applied to the areas around the points being matched. The influence of noise on the matching errors and the error reduction by vector filters are analysed. The obtained results indicate that only few of several analysed filters are suitable for the precision increase. One of these filters is an impulse noise filter designed by the present authors.
