Unequal opportunities: The recruitment, selection and promotion prospects for black teachers

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to specifically examine what impact the Education Reform Act 1988 will have on the area of ‘equal opportunities’ in the recruitment and selection processes of Black teachers in schools. It will do this by looking at a case study of recruitment and selection practices in the London Borough of Ealing.
