Some exact results on the coupled ising chains with general spin S

Abstract

The antiferromagnetic Ising model is considered for the critical magnetic field on a lattice which consists of three coupled chains with coordination number γ = 6. The ground-state entropy and magnetization are expressed as explicit functions of the spin S. These exact results are also a very good approximation for the antiferromagnetic model on the triangular lattice.
