Abstract

The technology of friction welding VKNA-25 and EP975 alloys and subsequent heat treatment (prior to and after welding) is discussed. The welding conditions are selected, and the effect of heat treatment on the quality of welded joints is investigated. The welded joints are tested by mechanical tests, metallographic, and fractographic investigations. The efficiency of the welding and heat treatment conditions is determined.
