Determination of the angular velocity of rotation of the droplet at the electrode tip in arc welding in a magnetic field

Abstract

The mathematical model of the shape of the surface of the electrode droplet in arc welding in the magnetic field is discussed. An equation is derived for calculating the angular velocity of the rotating droplet. The results of experiments which confirm the accuracy of the equation are presented.
