Abstract

The promising methods of hardening rapidly wearing friction pairs of mud pumps are analysed, and the efficiency of using plasma powder surfacing for increasing the service life of sleeves of cylindrical and valve sections is indicated. The results of laboratory and industrial tests carried out to determine the possibility of application of plasma wear-resisting coatings for the rods of NB32-125 pumps are presented.
