Joining of ceramic materials using niobium and niobium-based alloys

Abstract

The results of investigations of wetting of Al₂O₃, ZrO₂, AlN, VK94-2, and porcelain using various niobium-containing alloys are presented. A method for brazing ceramic materials with niobium by the contact-reactive methods through nickel and also the conditions of joining ceramics with niobium by pressure welding are described.
