Methods for producing welded joints in transmission pipes with the corrosion resistance similar to that of parent metal

Abstract

The experimental results show that postweld heat treatment in specific conditions of oil transmission pipelines welded by high-frequency welding results in the structural state of the welded joints and, correspondingly, the strength and corrosion properties of the welded joints similar to that of the parent metal. Requirements and reference specimens of the structure of the welded joints, ensuring high corrosion resistance of the welded pipes, were developed.
