Mathematical modelling of the thermal process in electro socket welding of polyethylene pipes at low temperatures

Abstract

By the mathematical model of thermal processes in welding of polyethylene pipes for gas pipelines, it is proposed to take into account the phase transition in the temperature range. The results of comparison of the theoretical dependences of temperature on time with the experimental data are presented and the efficiency of this approach in the determination of the dynamics of the temperature field in the welded joint is shown.
