Effect of carbon- and fluorine-containing additions in the composition of fluxes on the content of non-metallic inclusions and properties of welded joints

Abstract

On the basis of experimental results, it is shown that carbon- and fluorine-containing additions to the AN-348A oxidation flux result in the formation of welded joints with a reduced content of non-metallic inclusions and higher mechanical properties, especially impact toughness.
