Abstract
The results of investigations into the effect of the thermal cycle of welding on the microstructure and properties of the metal of the heat-affected zone (HAZ) of new steels with carbide and carbonitride hardening – 06GBD and 15KhSATYuD using Gleeble 3800 equipment – are presented. The experimental results show that the low ductility and toughness properties of the welded joints in 15KhSATYuD steel are determined by the dissolution of carbide and nitride phases (Fe3C, AlN and TiC) in the coarse-grained region of the HAZ.
