Pulsed-arc consumable electrode welding of aluminium alloys with a regulated pulse shape

, , &

Abstract

The results of investigations of the technological possibilities of pulsed-arc consumable electrode welding of aluminium alloys with a regulated pulse shape are presented. The mechanical properties of butt welded joints in AMg6, AMg5, D16 and 1915 aluminium alloys are described. It is shown that highly functional welding equipment with a regulated pulse shape of welding current can be used efficiently for welding of aluminium alloys of different alloying systems.
