Investigation of fields of residual stresses in welded structures

Abstract

The results of analysis of the principal methods of investigating the residual stresses in welded structures are presented. Special features of the welded joints, restricting the areas of application of the individual methods, are discussed. An efficient method, resulting in reliable data, is described.
